About me
Michelle Alden is the Director of the Dallas Volunteer Attorney Program (DVAP), which is a joint effort of Legal Aid of NorthWest Texas and the Dallas Bar Association. DVAP serves those who live in poverty in Dallas County. DVAP’s caseload consists of domestic relations, consumer protection, probate, wills, employment, juvenile, health, bankruptcy, housing, expunctions, nondisclosures, and income maintenance cases. Before practicing law in Dallas, Michelle earned her B.A. in English from The University of Texas at Austin and a J.D. from The University of Texas School of Law, where she served as an editor of the Texas International Law Journal. In her spare time, Michelle volunteers with the Junior League of Dallas and enjoys performing in the Dallas Bar Foundation’s annual Bar None variety show.
